Alternative Healing Wednesdays

March 22, 2012

Crafting is a billion dollar industry.  We have multiple sites online now to sell crafts.  Statistically, “three-quarters of the American households have at least one family member who spends an average of 7.5 hours weekly engaged in crafting or hobbies (Monson, 5)”.

Here is a partial list for crafting activities:

Cross-stitch / embroidery (the most popular)

Crocheting

Home décor painting

Sewing (home décor, clothing, etc.)

Crochet

Knitting

Floral arranging

Scrapbooking

Art: drawing and painting, ceramics, metal work

DIY (Do it yourself)

Woodworking

Quilting
What is most interesting to me, is that the majority of Americans use these crafts for their own households and they do the crafts to relax because crafts are excellent for de-stressing. But, many people tend to chose to place the activity of crafting to the bottom of our “priority lists”.

Crafting is not just relaxing, but is also very therapeutic.

Thank you, I’ve recently been searching for info about this topic for a long time and yours is the best I have discovered till now. But, what in regards to the bottom line? Are you certain concerning the source?|What i don’t understood is in fact how you are now not really much more well-preferred than you might be now. You’re so intelligent.

Yes I am certain of the sources. I would not use the sources otherwise. Thank you for the complement!
